Wayne burns his bridges

Wayne Bridge has announced he is making himself unavailable to England manager Fabio Capello.
Following the recent John Terry scandal, much speculation has been doing the rounds as to whether it would be possible for the two players to play together for England.
With Ashley Cole out with a long term injury, it was thought that Wayne Bridge would play a large part in the up and coming World Cup. However, with this announcement Capello now has a bit of a headache as to who to deploy at left back.
Despite Terry being stripped of the England captaincy, it appears that it is Bridge whose England career has truly suffered from John Terry’s lack of control.

John Terry will not willingly step down as England captain.
After recent allegations surrounding Terry’s private life, many football fans have called for England manager to appoint a new team captain.
The current Chelsea and England captain allegedly cheated on his wife with former team mate Wayne Bridge’s ex girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel. So much for that all important ‘bros before hoes’ rule…
However, John Terry has confirmed that he will not offer to step down as captain, leaving the decision with the England captain. The FA have already stated that they will not get involved in the situation, believing that the best person to make the decision is Capello himself.
The Italian is due to meet Terry in the coming week to discuss the situation. It is thought that a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later, particularly in time for England’s next game against Egypt which takes place in just over a month.
