If you’re a regular reader of the Smoke blog you would have read the speculation about Apple’s newest product.
The company have now revealed their latest device – the ipad.
As thought, the ipad is a cross between a Mac Book and the iphone. The ten inch device will use touch screen technology and will be able to connect to the internet via WiFi and a more expensive, updated version will connect via 3G.
All the information is on the Apple website and the ipad does look very impressive. However, is it really necessary? Will any of you be purchasing the latest device? Let Smoke know what you think.

Tesco to sell iPhone

Supermarket giant Tesco announced today it will begin selling Apple iPhones from 14 December.
Tesco Mobile will be selling the phone on pay-monthly and pay-as-you-go tariffs. The cheapest pay-monthly tariff will cost customers £20 each month but on top of that they will have to pay £222 for the 3G 8GB handset. The monthy cost altogether totals £38.50.
Tesco’s tariff is more expensive that both O2 and Orange which stands at £34.26 over 24 months. The handset on this tariff is also free. However Tesco Mobile’s argument is that the contract they offer is only 12 months, something they think some customers will appreciate.
The iPhone is also expected to be available on Vodafone in 2010 but pricing details have not yet been announced.
The pay-as-you-go handset available at Tesco will be priced at £342.
